We want travel to be accessible to everyone while also using our resources responsibly. Under the heading Conscious, we show how we work to remove barriers and incorporate sustainable practices into our everyday operations.

Accessible travel

Our team helps ensure that guests with different needs can enjoy their stay comfortably and as independently as possible. Our hostel is certified under the “Reisen für Alle” programme, Germany’s official certification system for accessibility in tourism.

The following accessible facilities and services are available:

• Step-free access to the building
• Lift access to all relevant floors
• A spacious, wheelchair-accessible double room with extra-wide doors, a level-access shower, grab rails and a shower seat
• Emergency call systems by the bed and in the bathroom
• Accessible toilet in the public areas
• Lowered reception counter for comfortable communication
• Accessible parking space directly at the hostel
• Assistance from trained staff

Sustainable stays – making a conscious difference

We are a partner of “Nachhaltig Westlicher Bodensee” and pay attention to the responsible use of energy, water and other resources throughout the hostel. We focus on practical measures that can be implemented in our everyday operations.

These include, for example:

• Efficient energy and water management throughout the hostel
• Waste separation and recycling
• Use of environmentally friendly cleaning products
• Reduction of single-use plastics and packaging
• Providing the BodenseeCard West, which enables environmentally friendly travel by public transport
• Paperless check-in: invoices by email, digital guest card and no paper registration forms

Our guests can also help us save resources.

Your contribution

• When booking, you can choose not to have your room cleaned daily during your stay. This helps save water, energy and cleaning products.
• Groups booking a packed lunch are kindly asked to bring their own reusable food containers and drinking bottles. This helps us avoid unnecessary packaging.
• At our recycling station, you can easily sort your waste yourself.
