Booking


How can I book at the best price? The fastest and cheapest way to get your room is directly through our website. Of course, you can also contact us by phone or email. There are no extra fees for direct bookings. If your desired dates are fully booked, we'll gladly check for possible alternatives within the room categories.


Do I need a credit card to book? No, a credit card is not absolutely necessary. However, without a guarantee, your booking will only be held until 4:00 PM on your arrival day. After that, the room will be released for sale again. You can secure a guarantee either by credit card or by prepayment (PayPal or bank transfer).


From what age can I book? You must be at least 18 years old. Minors may only stay overnight if accompanied by an adult and with the written consent of a parent or guardian. For school groups, the teacher's accompaniment is sufficient.

Groups

How do I book for groups of 7 or more people?

For groups of 7 or more, we offer special rates and adjusted cancellation policies. Please use our inquiry form – we will get back to you as soon as possible with a quote.


Can we get lunch or dinner as a group? Yes, of course! We offer set menus and buffets, and upon request, even packed lunches from the breakfast buffet for on the go.


Arrival & Stay


Where can I park? There are 34 free parking spaces and 1 bus parking space. Unfortunately, we cannot offer reservations.


When can I check in? Your room will be ready from 2:00 PM. Arriving earlier? No problem – we'll gladly store your luggage. Our reception is open 24/7.


What time do I have to check out? Check-out is until 11:00 AM. You can leave your luggage with us afterwards.


Breakfast & Meals


Is breakfast served? Yes! Weekdays from 6:00–10:00, weekends and holidays from 7:00–11:00. Click here for the breakfast page for full details.


Is there a guest kitchen? Unfortunately not fully equipped, but a microwave and kettle are available. There's a supermarket nearby that's open until midnight. Our bar offers delicious snacks and drinks – here's the bar menu.

Rooms & Amenities


Can I use Wi-Fi? Yes, Wi-Fi is available free of charge in all rooms and public areas.


Can I do my laundry? Of course! We have a laundry room for washing, drying, and ironing. You can get tokens at reception. We are not liable for lost or damaged laundry.


Do I need to bring towels or bed linen? No, everything is included. Beds are made, and towels are provided. They are changed every 3 days.


Is there a hairdryer in the room? Not in every room, but you can ask at reception for a free loaner hairdryer.


Are there lockers for valuables? Yes, there are free lockers for your valuables in the public area.

Cancellation


Can I cancel or change my booking free of charge? Yes – cancellations are free until 4:00 PM on the day of arrival. After that, we charge 90% of the room price, regardless of whether we are able to re-let the room or not. If you booked through a booking portal or tour operator, you must cancel through them – their terms and conditions may vary.

Payment


How can I pay? Cash, EC/Maestro, Mastercard, VISA, American Express. Online prepayment is also possible (PayPal or instant bank transfer).

City Tax


From January 1, 2026, the city of Singen will levy a 3% overnight accommodation tax on the room rate. This applies to all guests, including business travelers. In return, you will receive the BodenseeCard West free of charge for the duration of your stay. Click here for the regulations.


Pets


May I bring my pet? Yes! We charge €10 per day for dogs or cats. Add your pet as an extra when completing your online booking. Your furry friend is welcome to accompany you to the breakfast restaurant, but not to the buffet area. You are responsible for any damage or soiling caused by your pet.

 What can I do at the hostel, especially in bad weather? There's plenty to do here:
